ECHO wins at National Hedgelaying Championships 2019

Another win for ECHO. Hedgelayers who used the ECHO CS-390ESX have taken the two first placings at the National Hedgelaying Championships 2019.

The 41st National Hedgelaying Championships  took place at Pewsey Hill farm Wiltshire on the 26th Oct.  The forecast was for heavy rain, and they were correct.  It was appalling weather but all 102 competitors pleached , bound, staked and  built their hedges in one of the 10 different styles being cut in the allotted time frame allowed.

Along with billhooks and axes all competitors have chainsaws both for competitions and contract work.  You may recall a report from around this time last year  This year Graham Teece from Graham Teece Hedgelaying cutting in the Derby style Class and Russell Woodham from Dorset Hedgelayer  cutting in the Dorset style class, both contract cutters using CS-390ESXs

Both these cutters used the ECHO CS-390ESX saws and were awarded 1st place in their relevant class. These saws were used as the weight of the saw is good for all day use as well as using it to just pick up and cut the odd stem.  The  fuel consumption is good; not having to refuel as often as with other saws is a real benefit because when you’re competing you have many other things to think about.
